Nicholls State University and the University of New Orleans have signed an agreement to develop a plan to offer UNO’s Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering on Nicholls’ campus and prepare students in an engineering curriculum aligned with local industry needs. 

Nicholls State University baseball head coach Mike Silva has stepped down after three seasons at the helm of the Colonels, Nicholls Vice President for Athletics Jonathan Terrell announced Thursday.

Lady Amelia Windsor presented the Golden Gorilla Award for efforts in conservation to faculty and students from Nicholls State University’s Department of Mass Communication at the Biodiversity Ball at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. The award was in recognition of the first projects completed by the department’s newly formed Nancy Sanderson Matherne Institute for Global Communication.
